Implementing Virtualized Infrastructure DaaS, AaaS Solution for Administrative Control Authority of Egypt

The Administrative Control Authority (ACA) of Egypt is a governmental organization responsible for implementing effective administrative control, promoting transparency, and combating corruption. VMware Horizon and Workspace One: TOPTECH Egypt deployed VMware Horizon to establish a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment. This allowed ACA employees to access their desktops and applications securely from any device, enhancing flexibility and productivity. VMware Workspace One provided unified endpoint management, simplifying the management and security of end-user devices.

Dell EMC VxRail: To provide a highly efficient, scalable, and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), TOPTECH Egypt implemented Dell EMC VxRail. This solution integrated compute, storage, and networking resources into a single appliance, reducing complexity and streamlining operations.

Dell EMC DataDomain: Data protection and disaster recovery were critical aspects of the project. TOPTECH Egypt deployed Dell EMC DataDomain to ensure efficient backup and replication of ACA’s data. This solution provided deduplication and compression capabilities, optimizing storage utilization and reducing backup and recovery times.

Dell EMC Thin Clients: To enable secure and efficient access to virtual desktops and applications, TOPTECH Egypt implemented Dell EMC Thin Clients as endpoints. These devices are purpose-built for VDI environments, offering enhanced security, simplified management, and improved energy efficiency.

Results and Benefits

The implementation of the DaaS and AaaS solution using VMware Horizon, Workspace One, Dell EMC VxRail, Dell EMC DataDomain, and Dell EMC Thin Clients provided several benefits to the Administrative Control Authority of Egypt:
