JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements,
assesses customers’ needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
- Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.
- Coordinates closely with the sales account manager and technical team to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
- Maintain close contact with both internal and external customers to enhance good customer experience and service delivery.
- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported.
- Meet the customers to explore their business needs, requirements, and pain points, and validate the opportunities. Arrange with the vendor if needed for further meetings with customers.
- Present the solutions to the customers and prepare the technical offer for the solution and the cost sheet.
- Verify and confirm that the offer received from the distributor or vendor includes all components needed as per approved design.
- Provides awareness of solutions and product knowledge and technical acumen to sales team.
- Opportunistically pursues additional business development opportunities within customer firms.
- Collaborates with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered.
- Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the sales and account teams to potential risks of deal closure.
- Advise whether the opportunity requires a POC and define the guidelines of the scope of the POC.
- Build long-lasting relationships with vendors and customers.
- On-going study of trendy solutions and get all certifications required as per business needs and strategy.
- Full understanding of Infrastructure components like Servers, Storage, Backup and Virtualization.
- Integrates with other Presales units like passive, datacenter, network and security to offer a full end to end solutions.
- Understanding the required SOW to able to request it from professional services team.
- Experience in building technical proposals including solution summary, description, HLD, BOM, SOW and T&Ds.
SKILLS
- Previous experience as a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer (Infrastructure) or relevant role for at least 5 years.
- IT industry knowledge is a must.
- Technical certifications related to the unit specialization.
- Ability in delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
